ITINERARY

1. Welcome!

Departure from San Jose 08:00 AM to Arenal, arrival in Arenal 12:30/18.00 check in at hotel.  Afternoon free.

Recommended activities: Visit to the hot springs; waterfall, Caves.

Day 2 

Tour to Caño Negro: Our guide will pick up at the hotel at 07:30 With a minibus we drive, through agricultural landscape to the the river “Rio Frio”. After a welcome drink we board the motorboat and ride slowly for about 20 minutes on the river to reach the National refuge Caño Negro. For the next 2 ½ hours we enjoy the beautiful Fauna and Flora of this exceptional pretty National refuge.

Day 3  Morning free.                                     

Departure.14:00: traveling across the Arenal Lake; we drive for 25 to the lake of Arenal, where the boat will be awaiting for you. After of a boat ride throughout the lake we will be back on the bus to finally reach the cloud forest of Monteverde. Check in at hotel.      

Day 4                                                

Tour Canopy & Treetop Walkways:  15 cables and 18 platforms into the Cloud Forest. Monteverde Cloud Forest Treetop Walkways: simply the best way to observe the Cloud Forest Canopy.

Day 5                                                

Departure from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio 08:00. duration 4 1/2 approximately. Afternoon free.                                               

DAY 6                                               

Tour Dolphin watching and snorkelling: seasonal (Dec – April 09:00/ 13:30) (April-Nov 09:00)  Onboard of a Catamaran cruise; Dolphins play in the wake as we sail silently through the blue pacific waters. The rushing of wind and waves are frequently interrupted by the splash of dolphins and whales coming near for a closer look. A swim and snorkeling break, offers a perfect complement to the warm sunny days. Many different kinds of reef fish are seen while enjoying the cool waters. Tour include: fruits, lunch and drinks.

Day 7: Free; Optional activities: Tour to Manuel Antonio park, horse back ridding, white water rafting, ATV, mangrove safari… 

Day 8                                                

Return to San Jose; pick up at hotel 08:00/ 13:30, time 3 hrs, drop off at hotel (airport).
