Nature Air
Nature Air has it’s hub in Tobias Bolanos International Airport of San Jose located in Pavas, a neighborhood located about 5 miles west of downtown San Jose and about 10 miles from the international airport.
Tobias Bolanos Airport has a number of taxis and shuttle buses waiting curbside that can take passengers to anywhere they would like to go.
Airport Check In
• Check in is 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights. This rule applies to Pavas and Liberia Airports.
• Check in is 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure for international flights.
• Domestic flights are closed 20 minutes before departure, International 30 minutes before departure. To all passengers not timely checked in, will not be boarded on the aircraft.
• Nature Air is located in Pavas Airport, 4 miles from the downtown and 9 miles from Juan Santamaria Intl Airport.
• Photo ID must be presented at all airports to guarantee boarding.
Baggage Policy
Nature Air permits a maximum of 30 lbs. per person for checked in baggage and a small handbag for the cabin, our aircrafts do not have any overhead baggage compartments. Any baggage over 30 lbs. will be charged (they are still not guaranteed space on the aircraft) at a rate of:
• All passengers have the right to bring one bag with a weight not to exceed 30 pounds and a maximum size not exceeding 50 linear inches / 127 cm. (length + width + height). Any luggage exceeding the maximum weight and/or size will be considered and charged as excess luggage.
• All passengers may bring one piece of carry on luggage as long as it does not exceed the 10-pound weight limit and a maximum size not exceeding 33 linear inches / 84 cm. (length + height + width). Any carry – on luggage exceeding the maximum weight and/or size will be considered and charged as excess luggage.
• Excess luggage will be charged at the airport. The following fees apply:
o 1 to 30 pounds or one additional luggage has a $25 penalty.
o 31 to 45 pounds or two additional luggage pieces must pay $50.
o 46 to 70 pounds or three additional luggage pieces must pay $75.
o Any piece of luggage exceeding 71 pounds will be charged as cargo.
• Any excess luggage is subject to space and weight and may be put on next available flight.
• Surfboards, Golf Clubs, Fishing Equipment, Strollers, Baby Car Seats, bicycles and others are subject to space availability at airport at the time of check in, charges or fees for these articles is $40.00usd per flight
• Storage for luggage is available at Pavas Airport in San Jose only.
Non Refundable Policy
• All tickets are non-refundable.
Change of date and flight policy
• Changes in reservations are subject to a change fee commensurate with the policies of fare class purchased.
• Changes fee are based per person in reservation.
• Changes are not allowed within 3 hours of departure. Check with reservations at 506 2299 6000 to be informed of space and flight availability.
Children Fares & Restriction
• Infants under 0-24 months sitting in parent’s lap travel free, but are subject to pay taxes and surcharges. When twins or 2 infants under 2 years of age are flying with one adult, one infant will be required to pay an adult fare.
• Children 2 and over are required to purchase and adult fare.
Special Service
• All Costa Rican passenger flying international need 6 month valid passport to leave the country and Visa to Bocas del Toro in Panama only valid passport with a minimum of 6 month.
• Wheel Chair is available only in Pavas Airport. Electrical Wheel Chairs are not permitted to travel in Nature Air aircrafts.
Additional Information
• All Fares are subject to taxes, airport services fees and fuel surcharges.
• Please reconfirm your reservation 24 hours before departure time.
• Passengers who are more than 300lbs of physical weight are required to pay 2 airfare seat rates. This is due to, aircraft seat weight capacity, and passenger comfort and safety, this charge should be done at time of booking. Or it will be done at airport on day of departure. 20% discount will apply if confirm thru reservation before date of departure.
